My name is Lynn Viccars, I’m married , have 2 grown up boys. I love all animals and frequently share my house and garden with dogs, ducks and various other species. I enjoy a very busy life and always have a house full of friends and family.
I love sports and have reached high standards in all that I have enjoyed which include Judo, squash, Water skiing as well as Snow skiing and Golf. I also enjoy a challenge ! I’ve endured Duke of Edinburgh Outward bound adventures, parachuted off a mountain on skis’ I have even climbed Kilimanjaro to name a few and have new ones planned in the future.
As a Somatic coach and Pilates Instructor I am passionate about what and how I teach. No-one knows your pain better than yourself. I have experienced plenty of pain throughout my body myself so I know exactly what it takes to manage or eliminate it.
I was trained in Pilates by (Canadian) In-touch Pilates and for Thomas Hanna Somatics coach independently by 2 top and devoted Somatic Educators, Align Somatics with Tanya Fitzpatrick and also Essential Somatics with Martha Peterson. My qualifications:

I am sharing this with you as I have been doing this programme for some time. Why? Because no matter what we do for our Well-being. By releasing this tension from past traumas and stress ie. Learning how to 'turn on your big tap' and Thoughtfully Activating your Psoas you will feel an unprecedented sense of renewal feeling better than you ever did.
I continue to attend workshops and CPD courses, it keeps me up to speed. There is always new knowledge to learn which can only help me improve.
Lyn is great, well worth a visit to her site or watch videos 👍👍

I am at the start of my journey with Lynn but I can say that she has been absolutely amazing so far. For the first time in 9 years I have hope that I might be able to live life with a little less chronic pain. She is warm, friendly and responsive to all my questions and has been able to identify the root issues. She is encouraging me to stay the course so that I can reap all the benefits of Soma movement.

Had my first Somatics one to one yest and absolutely loved it. Just reaffirmed alot to me and also made me aware of some of which I didn't know how i was holding or carrying myself. Amazing stuff indeed!! And saw and felt a noticeable difference just after one session, not only physically but also in my subtle energy body aswell. And for me the work can only truly ever be done by myself (with help and guidance from others) and Lynn was gr8 at helping show and guide me to what I needed to do and feel. Excited and feel very committed to keeping these exercises up after how much I felt yest. "If you can Sense it, Feel it, You can Change it"

Over the years I have suffered from all the usual physical ailments that are supposed to be due to ageing; aching back, sciatica, limp, joint pains & developing a stoop! I tried more physical wellbeing techniques than most & experienced results ranging from fairly effective to non effective. SOMATICS is the only method I believe to be VERY effective. I dont understand why Somatics is not more widespread, maybe because we have our free NHS where its not even available.
The principles are obvious, its simple and it worked for me & others I know who suffered with nerve pain. I am now 70 , I practice it regularly and have not had any pains since I started 2 years ago. Thanks to Lynn .

My daughter Ashleigh was modelling in a local fashion show and theres lots of photos of her in the local magazine. She wouldnt have been able to do that without all your hard and inspiring somatic work to correct her pidgeon toed walk !
